Stuart Garden

Stuart's career has been as a performer,
writer, arranger, bandleader and
teacher. He has gained experience over
a wide field including backing work and
musical direction with a variety of artists
in cabaret, theatre, summer season and
panto. His first love is jazz which he
shares with the members of 'The Garden
Party'. In his spare time he can be found
walking the fells of the Lake District.
Carole studied literature at Leeds University
but left the academic world behind to
become a jazz singer . She founded a jazz
quintet with Stuart and then they went on to
develop 'The Garden Party' to be the
versatile function band it is today. Along the
way she was thrilled to tour England,
Scotland, Ireland and Wales as a guest
star in the well-loved show 'Give My
Regards to Jolson.' Carole enjoys theatre,
the arts, antiques, animals, good friends
and a good laugh!

Tony Burkill

Tony graduated from Leeds College of Music
and has since squandered his life away
playing saxophone to great acclaim at home
and abroad. Burdened as he is with a
monster talent he has yet to learn the
error of his ways and is still performing
with the Garden Party today. His
instinctive and exciting playing always
commands respect and appreciation.
